Editor’s Notes: Give your space that extra special scent by lighting a reviving Aphrodite Cypress Candle. Whilst cypress is similar to cedar or pine, it differs with a freshness of coniferous trees that is less reminiscent of Winter and is the perfect scent to encourage positivity any day of the year.

A little history… Greek goddess of beauty, love and fertility, Aphrodite, was believed to have been born of the foam of the sea, on the coast of Paphos in Cyprus. This island was well known for cultivating the cypress tree for fragrance. Mediterranean cypress oil has been blended with a soft hint of musk to create this scent, evoking the presence of this supreme goddess.

Product Information: Bringing a scent-sational glow into your living space since 2004, Ancienne Ambiance luxury scented candles are thoroughly delicious and full of fragrance. Each candle is hand-poured in the UK using traditional techniques, special slow burning, vegan wax blend and lead-free wick.

- Monograms are Times font, 2 characters.

Candle Information
- To maximise your candle’s burn time, make sure it is lit for approximately 2-3 hours for its first burn. This will form a good sized melting pool (molten wax) across the entire surface for maximum scent. It also creates the wax ‘memory’ before extinguishing the flame and prevents tunnelling.
- Thereafter keep the wick trimmed to around 1/4 inch. Trimming the wick at regular intervals, or before each burn, will also help consume the candle evenly. A wick trimmer will do this perfectly, also preventing the excess wick to fall back into the molten wax.
- Instead of blowing out your candle, snuff it to prevent the wick from smouldering and leaving a smoky scent.
- Over time candle fragrances can change and sweat out. Store your candles somewhere not too warm and keep dust off with an elegant candle lid.

It’s hard to review a scent since everyone has their own preferences, but I absolutely love the smell of this candle! Of course it’s a chic home decor addition, but it’s warm, fresh, inviting, unisex and just perfect. I also find that I can burn these down to nothing and all the wax burns away. I never have that big chunk of wasted wax :)
