Claire van Holthe Rock Crystal Points Statement Necklace

Editor’s Notes: An elegant rock crystal necklace with faceted garnet accents, perfect for layering and wearing solo.

Product Information: Believed to embolden its wearer and remove stress, Rock Crystal was given its name by ancient Greek philosopher Theophrastus – derived from the Greek ‘crystallos’. The ancient Greeks believed that Gods drank ambrosia and nectar from Crystal goblets, while the Romans used Rock Crystal for making jewellery.

People have used Garnets for jewellery and decorative objects for millennia. It’s one of the oldest known gemstones used in Ancient Egyptian necklaces and was a highly valued gem by the Ancient Greeks and Romans. Garnet’s name is derived from the Latin word garanatus, which means pomegranate – because the small, red crystals were thought to resemble pomegranate seeds.
