A little history… Egyptian Faience: In Ancient Egypt objects created with Faience were considered magical… the turquoise/blue colour glaze linked to the undying shimmer of the sun and powers of rebirth. Egyptian Faience is the oldest known glazed ceramic and was first developed more than 6000 years ago in Mesopotamia.
