What It Does: The refreshing and soothing gentle cleansing hand wash is formulated with lavender from Provence.The softening hand and body lotion is infused with rose water and absorbs quickly into the skin. Leaves the skin feeling silky smooth. The reed diffuser is both elevating and sensual, filling any space effortlessly with lasting fragrance.
Wash Information: Ancienne Ambiance Hand & Body Wash cleanses skin perfectly, creating a beautifully decadent lather without harsh synthetics. Honorously crafted in France following traditional Savon de Marseille techniques, it is sustainably formulated from a pure botanical base using premium coconut oil—which naturally yields rich glycerine during saponification. This biodegradable formula deeply conditions your skin while offering a beautifully clean, eco-conscious wash.
Candle Information: Bringing a scent-sational glow into your living space since 2004, Ancienne Ambiance luxury scented candles are thoroughly delicious and full of fragrance. Each candle is hand-poured in the UK using traditional techniques, special slow burning wax blend (vegan) and lead-free wick.

A little history… Derived from the Latin word, lavera, meaning to wash, aromatic lavender was used by the Romans in their baths and was first recorded by the ancient Egyptians, who used it for soothing ointments and perfumes. Highly prized in antiquity, figs and fig wood were considered sacred in antiquity and a symbol of rebirth, abundance, enlightenment and prosperity. The orange blossom flower was a symbol of eternal love and fruitfulness from the Middle Eastern origin of Assur and loved by the Sumerians. Considered a treasure of the Middle East, this fragrance helps ease anxiety and unrest with its soothing properties.
How To Use
HAND & BODY WASH: Suitable for use on the face, hands and body. Lather onto wet hands, then rinse.
LOTION: For daily moisturising. Apply liberally to dry or slightly damp skin.
CANDLE:
- To maximise your candle’s burn time, make sure it is lit for approximately 2-3 hours for its first burn. This will form a good sized melting pool (molten wax) across the entire surface for maximum scent. It also creates the wax ‘memory’ before extinguishing the flame and prevents tunnelling.
- Thereafter keep the wick trimmed to around 1/4 inch. Trimming the wick at regular intervals, or before each burn, will also help consume the candle evenly. A wick trimmer will do this perfectly, also preventing the excess wick to fall back into the molten wax.
- Instead of blowing out your candle, snuff it to prevent the wick from smouldering and leaving a smoky scent.
- Over time candle fragrances can change and sweat out. Store your candles somewhere not too warm and keep dust off with an elegant candle lid.
