The Ancienne Ambiance ceramic soap dish is crafted by hand, with a gently curved shape, at the atelier of Gerard Crociani, the finest ceramicist in Vallauris, France.
A pottery region since ancient times, located in south-eastern France, near Cannes, it was once home to where Picasso rented an old perfume factory as a sculpture studio in the late 1940s and created more than 3,000 ceramic objects.
As each piece is individually handmade there may be some variations in the finish, which adds to the beauty and character of the product.
