How Often Should You Flip Reed Diffuser Sticks?
If the fragrance of your reed diffuser is no longer as strong as it once was, flip the reeds (ie. remove the reeds and turn over the dry ends so that they are placed in the reed diffuser oil).
Flipping the reeds provides a new boost of fragrance for fresh scent diffusion.
At Ambiance London we recommend you repeat flipping the reed sticks regularly – approximately once a week or every couple of weeks.
Remember: Flipping the reeds will provide a fresh fragrance burst, but doing this too often will also speed up how quickly the oil evaporates.
How Long Do The Reeds Last In A Diffuser?
AMBIANCE London best-selling 100ml luxury reed diffusers last up to 4 months and our 200ml diffusers are designed to last approximately 6 months.
Generally 100ml of diffuser oil should last approximately 3 months. However, this will really depend on the temperature of your home or where you place your reed diffuser. Central heating, air conditioning, fans, humidity, high traffic areas (open/closed doors) and dehumidifiers can affect how long diffusers will last.
How Many Diffuser Sticks Should I Use?
Place all the reeds provided in your diffuser at once to fill your chosen room with a wonderful and welcoming fragrance.
NB. The number of reeds you use can alter the intensity of the aroma.
Where Should I Position My New Reed Diffuser?
Positioning your reed diffuser near a source of airflow, such as a vent or a window, will help the fragrance spread faster throughout the room.
NB. If you place a reed diffuser on a warm or sunny window sill it will evaporate much quicker.
How Can I Make My Diffuser Last Longer?
Keep your reed diffusers in a draught-free, shady and cool environment to help them last much longer.
Are Reed Diffusers Safe In The Bedroom?
Reed diffusers can be used in almost any location. The fragrance oils require no propellants to release the fragrance, so they can be a safe option for every home and workspace.
NB. Please keep out of reach of children and pets.
Can You Reuse Reed Diffuser Sticks?
Essentially you shouldn’t reuse diffuser reeds. Reeds in a diffuser need to be replaced for use with a new different scent, otherwise you will not experience a new fragrance through the reeds properly. Also, over time the reeds will have become saturated and most likely clogged with dust.
