A little history… Sumer is the earliest known civilisation in the historical region of southern Mesopotamia, emerging during the Chalcolithic and early Bronze Ages between the sixth and fifth millennium BC.

Ancient Bird Amulets: In Sumerian and Akkadian mythology, Anzû is a divine storm-bird and the personification of the southern wind.

London-based jewellery designer and maker Claire van Holthe developed her skills at the prestigious Sir John Cass College of Art.
